Visa Application

In order to visit China and attend the conference, overseas participants will be required to have valid visas. Obtaining a visa for entry into China is not difficult, but it is important to allow enough lead time for processing your application. Visa requirements vary with time and place, and you should inform yourself about what is needed for the country in which you live.

To avoid uncertainty, participants will be advised to apply for a visa as early as possible. It is recommended that they apply for a Chinese visa at least 1 month in advance. For most attendees, it is easier to apply for a Tourist ("L") visa; an invitation letter is NOT required for obtaining a Tourist visa. If your local travel agent has experience arranging travel to China, they can also help with getting your visa.

As part of the visa application process, you may be required to submit an Invitation Letter from the Organizing Committee of the conference. Please contact us to get the letter for the VISA application.

Invitation Letters

1. The Invitation Letter will be issued after the successful registration.

2. Your name must be listed exactly as it appears on your passport. Any differences between the name on your passport and the name on your invitation letter or other documentation could lead to a delay and/or denial of your visa.

3. Please note the Organizing Committee of the conference are not authorized to assist with the VISA process beyond providing the Notification of Invitation Letter issued by Organizing Committee of the conference. Should your application be denied, the Organizing Committee of the conference cannot change the decision of the Ministry Of Foreign Affairs, nor will the organizing committee of the conference engage in discussion or correspondence with the MOFA or the Embassy on behalf of the applicant. The registration fee cannot be refunded when the VISA application of individual being denied.


How to get to Xi'an

Xi'an has an international airport: Xianyang Airport (XIY). It has flights from Paris, Madrid, London, Helsinki, Prague, Lisbon, Rome, San Francisco, etc.

As Xi'an is located in the heart of China, it takes no more than 3 hours to fly to Xi’an from most major Chinese cities, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Guilin, and Lhasa.
